Therapy for when you know something isn’t working—but you’re not exactly sure what needs to change.
Sometimes there isn’t one big thing you can point to.
You’re just… struggling.
You’re more anxious than usual. You’re overwhelmed, exhausted, or constantly overthinking. You feel stuck in a situation you don’t know how to change. Maybe you’re going through a major life transition and aren’t quite sure who you are on the other side of it.
Or maybe you’ve simply gotten to the point where you’re tired of feeling this way.
You don’t have to have a perfect explanation for why you’re here.
You just have to know that something feels off.
When Life Doesn’t Look the Way You Thought It Would
Life has a funny way of changing the plan.
A relationship ends.
You become a parent.
Your kids grow up and need you differently.
You change careers—or realize you want to.
You’re questioning what comes next.
You’re overwhelmed by responsibilities that used to feel manageable.
You’re struggling with anxiety that seems to have taken over your brain.
You’ve accomplished everything you thought you wanted and still don’t feel fulfilled.
Sometimes a transition is exciting and hard at the same time.
Sometimes you’re grateful for your life and still unhappy.
Sometimes you don’t even know what you need—you just know you need something to change.
That’s where therapy can help.
Anxiety, Overwhelm & Feeling Stuck
Maybe your brain won’t shut off.
You replay conversations. You worry about things that haven’t happened yet. You second-guess yourself. You feel like you’re constantly behind, even when you’re doing everything you can.
Or maybe anxiety isn’t the problem you would use to describe it.
You just feel overwhelmed.
I work with adults navigating things like:
- Anxiety and excessive worry
- Stress and overwhelm
- Feeling stuck or lost
- Burnout
- Major life transitions
- Relationship changes
- Career changes or uncertainty
- Changes in identity or sense of self
- Parenting and changing family dynamics
- Self-doubt and people-pleasing
- Difficulty setting boundaries
- Feeling disconnected from yourself
- Adjusting to a life that looks different than you expected
You don’t have to check a certain number of boxes to deserve support.
You Don’t Have to Wait Until Things Are Really Bad
A lot of people wait to start therapy because they think their problems aren’t “bad enough.”
Maybe you tell yourself:
Other people have it worse.
I should be able to handle this.
I’ll feel better once things calm down.
I don’t even know what I would talk about.
Meanwhile, you’re still struggling.
Therapy doesn’t have to be reserved for a crisis.
Sometimes it’s about having a place to slow down, sort through what’s happening, understand yourself a little better, and figure out what you actually want.
And sometimes, yes, it’s about getting through something really damn hard.
Either way, you don’t have to do it alone.
So… What Happens in Therapy?
Honestly? We talk.
We’ll figure out what’s going on, what feels hardest right now, and what you want to be different.
I’ll listen, ask questions, help you notice patterns, and sometimes challenge you when I think it might be helpful. We’ll use whatever approaches make sense for you—including CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, EMDR, and other tools when appropriate.
But therapy isn’t about me handing you a worksheet and sending you on your way.
It’s about understanding you—your experiences, your relationships, your patterns, your strengths, and the things that have helped you get this far.
You don’t need to walk in knowing exactly what you need.
We can figure that out together.
Maybe You’re Just Ready to Feel Like Yourself Again
You may not have a diagnosis.
You may not have a neat explanation.
You may just know that the way you’re living right now isn’t working for you anymore.
That’s enough.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out.
Let’s start there.
Life is hard. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
