Let’s talk about the part nobody really wants to talk about: money.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can focus on what brought you here—not spend the entire session worrying about what it’s going to cost. I try to keep my rates straightforward and offer several ways to make therapy more accessible.
Rates
Initial Intake — 60 minutes
$200
Standard Therapy Session — 53–55 minutes
$175
Extended EMDR Session — 90 minutes

Insurance
Evolve Counseling, LLC is currently in-network with Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Aetna, and Kaiser insurance plans.
Insurance benefits can vary depending on your specific plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance company to confirm your mental health benefits and what your out-of-pocket cost will be.
If I’m not in-network with your insurance, your plan may still provide out-of-network benefits that reimburse you for some portion of the cost of therapy. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide the documentation you need to submit for reimbursement.
Questions to ask your insurance company
Before your first appointment, you may want to ask:
- Does my health insurance plan include outpatient mental health benefits?
- Am I required to meet a deductible before my mental health benefits begin?
- What is my copay or coinsurance for an in-network therapist?
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- If so, what percentage of the cost is reimbursed?
- Is there a limit to the number of therapy sessions I can have each year?
- Do I need prior authorization or a referral from my primary care provider?
One important note: Even when a therapist is in-network, your actual cost will depend on the specifics of your insurance plan.
Reduced-Rate Options
I know therapy is an investment, and sometimes the cost can be one more thing standing between you and getting the support you need.
Evolve Counseling has a limited number of reduced-rate spots available. These spots are not always available, but if cost is a concern, please feel free to ask. We can talk about what options might be available.

Payment is due at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may be charged the full session rate.
Please note that insurance does not cover late-cancellation or missed-appointment fees.
I understand that emergencies and unexpected things happen. If something comes up, please reach out and we can talk about it.
Good Faith Estimates
If you are uninsured or choose not to use your insurance benefits, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care under the No Surprises Act.
